Dr. Raja Krishnaswami from the Chemistry Department’s talk will focus on practical, evidence-informed ways to support emotional well-being in a world marked by uncertainty, rapid change, and constant multitasking.
The current situation globally is characterized by uncertainty, rapid change & challenges on multiple fronts thereby leading to anxiety and stress; constant multitasking mindset is also having its impact globally. A toolkit of some of the key practices that have been studied globally and in literature that may possibly serve to “improve the baseline mood” such as mindfulness, gratitude, exercise, meditation, laughter, Shirin yoku (forest bathing) & music are the subject of this talk.
The World on Wednesday lecture series is sponsored by the Center for Global Engagement. A CC CLUE Event.
This is also a Verrazzano Extracurricular Learning Activities (VELAs) event.
Please contact Winnie Brophy at winnie.brophy@csi.cuny.edu if you have any questions or you would like to present at a future lecture.
